Lakshadweep
Lying 200 to 400 kms off the mainland
of Kerala, the conglomeration of 30 coral islands, Lakshadweep is
a fascinating experience. It comprises 36 Islands - large &
small, spreading over 32 Sq. kms. but only a few are open for tourists,
giving it a unique mystical appeal. Densely covered by coconut palms
& threaded together by soft creamy sands & calm lagoons,
Lakshadweep is fast becoming a popular tourist attraction. The unique
charm perhaps lies in their seclusion, away from the madding crowds
of cities or tourists, and in its small native population.
